Wait, so how do you spell that?

My housemate is so sweet, she went and bought a little late birthday present while we were in Urban Outfitters.
The sneaky one was trying to see what I liked in the shop.
"oooh, what do you think about this?"
"I know, lets pick our favourite piece of jewellery"
"what do you like best? rings? earrings? necklaces? short or long?"
Bless her.

Thanks Jess :)
I love it

A bit more London Love..

A few more photos from my short break at home over Easter.
This building just looked sooooooo strange, it needed a photo!
"lovely home, now where's the rest of it?"
Benny boy up close and some graffiti in Angel
I always wonder what some graffiti means, it's really quite frustrating not knowing.

Lars and the Real Girl.

I think I just fell in love...with this film.
It's just so beautifully sad.
The story initially seems somewhat awkwardly comical and, like anyone, when you don't fully understand something, you judge certain things on the surface to be weird and funny. It's a shame, but it's in our nature, right?
But give something a chance and take the time to understand something and you realise that it's not that weird, not that funny and it actually makes perfect sense.
If I'm not quite selling it, I apologize..but did I mention it's got Ryan Gosling in it? He owns a lovely collection of festive jumpers? And does a brilliant rendition of Nat King Cole's L.O.V.E?
Need I say more...
"L is for the way you look at me!...."

DIY: High Waisted Denim Shorts!

image via theniftyfifties.tumblr
It can't be denied that high waisted shorts are trending this summer, but of course loads of shops take advantage and sell them at silly silly prices (*cough* TOPSHOP,URBANOUTFITTERS..just sayin')
If anything you're better off hitting up some vintage shops first and finding a perfectly good pair for half the price. I did! However, I didn't just wanna stick to one pair because I'm greedy like that and wanted some in a lighter shade BUT being the stubborn student I am, I wanted to see if I could make my own.
SO........I just managed to find a pair of GAP jeans in a charity shop that just happened to be high waisted, the perfect colour and in my size. OH and how much did these set me back? £1.
Yep, I think I can just about afford that thanks.
Thank God it was reduced from £4, I don't know what I would have done!

Out of the hum of the street lights and into a forest.

Over Easter I managed to go see a beautiful little band called Daughter.
Her voice is actually flawless and yet every time she finished her song it was like she got all embarrassed when people started clapping, as if she couldn't believe people were applauding HER. Who me? Yes YOU! The girl is too modest. Lovely gig though, and the support band Theme Park were really good too, their music would be perfect for the summer, lets hope they get big too.

Theme Park doing their thaaang.
What? We were hungry ok..
Getting an 'Angel' monopoly thingy in McDonald's whilst being in Angel Islington, spooooky.

p.s If anyone has any nice bands to recommend, please go for it, because I'm always stuck on finding new music!

Some London Love...

Sometimes it's nice to take a stroll through the nicer parts of London and dream a little.
