Cotton Candy.

OH MY....I don't even know what to say...this 'Padded Cell' by Jennifer Rubell leaves me completely craving candy floss and feeling slightly jealous that I wasn't one of these lucky guests.
Erm Jennifer...(I can call you Jen right?) where the hell was my INVITE?!!
Yehhh get stuck in! No need for table manners here.
HEY MISTER! Put that drink down and start eating!
Hello heaven! Nice to eat you.
"It is an object that addresses the dark side of pleasure, the price of pleasure, the possibility that pleasure is its own punishment."

So if anyone happens to come across approximately 1,600 cones of cotton candy
you know what to do ;) oh and obviously invite me (unlike my mate 'Jen').

Reporting from the garden.

Helloooooooo, the weather is in a good mood (FINALLY) so I thought I'd blog from the garden today. The song below is something I like the sound of by Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks, so I thought I'd share it with you cos it's all summery & relaxing :) Just think of it as a soundtrack to my post. Wait for the chorus, it's niceeeeee.

ANYWAY, I rememberd that I bagged myself a bargain the other week (pun FULLY intended) because it was a really cute bag and it only cost me £1! I'm so broke atm, so it's nice that I can still pretend to afford things.
It didn't come with a strap so I just clipped one on from another bag I own.

P.S does anyone know any good songs for the summer? I need to expand my playlist!

When mum and dad went on holiday.

The rents decided to jet off to Italy the other week! YEH thanks mum and dad, I don't mind being left at home, but at least make sure you go somewhere BORING so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. But nooooooooo, you had to go to Italy, where you got to do the classic 'oh look how I attempt to hold up the Leaning Tower of Pisa' pose.
(because obviously that's all that Italy has to offer..)
It was funny looking through their photos though (the one above is from google btw, that is NOT my mum) because I noticed in the background of their photos that you could see other people trying to do the same pose.
See, it's not always about being original.
OH and one more point, I can't have seriously been the only child (note the word CHILD) stupid enough to have thought it was the Leaning Tower of Pizza....right? Oh come on, I was young, give me a break..and no, I didn't actually expect to see pizzas.
But who the hell wouldn't want to see a tower of pizzas? I'd get on a plane to see that.
"Have a nice & quiet time!!"
Translation: don't even think about having a party.
They left us a list before they left, probably because they think we'll lock ourselves out while the house is on fire or something.
(but I did forget to water the plants for like a week & gave them extra water to make up for it...but I don't think that's how it works, does it?...whoops)

Look how dad used the letter U instead of YOU...he is so cool..

Pattern OVERLOAD.

OK, I know this is a little bit crazy on the pattern front, but these images make me want to decorate my room in this English elegant vintage style by House Of Hackney.
Don't worry, I won't suddenly adopt some cats, dye my hair white and place lampshades on my head.
I'm focusing on the interior ;)

Poppin' & Lockin'

There's something about watching people dance that I find incredibly entertaining.
No no no, I'm not talking about that drunk guy/girl you always see in the club trying to 'wow' the crowd with their sloppy robot moves or trying to be the next Beyonce (and you're thinking please stop...but at the same time you're kinda thinking...nahh actually keep going, this could be interesting).
Even though my photos are blurry, I kinda like the effect. It's like you can see an echo/ghost of their movements.
On Saturday I went to Islington to watch the 2011 National B-Boy Championships - which was a huge dance event open to crews, solo b-boys and solo poppers from across the UK.
Just so I don't bore you with all the details, I'll try and keep this short. Some of the dancers were actually amazing, it was like wtf how the hell did you manage to make your body move in that way?! It was unreal, seriously, I'm sure it's part dance and part ILLUSION.
OK I'm gonna sum it up, if you're not really interested in dance, that's fair enough, but the only way I can describe why I love watching stuff like this is like.....you know when you watch two people debating about something & then one of them makes a killer point (probably backed up by a long inspiring speech & aggressive finger pointing) and completely destroys their opponent's feeble argument (leaving them completely speechless) and everyone cheers and it's like BAM! You got SERVED!
Yeh, just apply that to two dancers battling it out.

Here's a video I took of one of my favourites:
video
Ha I love the bit where he glides across the floor.
Smooooooooooth.

One of the dancers decided to call himself 'your mum' so that when he was called up, the guy on the mic shouted out "can I have your mum on the floor?"
 lol.

POTTER MANIA!

AHHH the last potter film will be out soon! I don't care if it's geeky or whatever, I CAN'T WAIT. I've always wanted to go to a premiere, but never really got round to it because I thought 'there's always the next film', but no, this was the last chance and I thought why the hell not. So I went to London yesterday with my sister to check out the craziness, and lets just say that potter fans are on ANOTHER level! I can't say it's a bad thing because I found it all quite entertaining seeing thousands of people walking around London with their lightning bolt scars, glasses, robes and t-shirts that said "I'm with a muggle" with an arrow pointing to the side.
Anyway, I'll let my photos do the talking now:
Picked up the metro while on the underground and found this page.
Trafalgur Square. Gutted that  I couldn't go in for the main event. You needed a wristband :(
So we headed to Leicester Square, where the red carpet extendend to (thought to be the longest in history).
Possibly the WORST weather I've experienced for a while, accompanied by the BEST sandwich I've had in a while.
 Sneaky maid!
Clémence Poésy and Matthew Lewis aka Fleur Delacour and Nevile Longbottom.
Not looking too shabby Matthew, I didn't recognize him at first.
Fred? George? .....yeh I can't tell which Weasley twin he is..ma bad. and Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy.
Ralph Fiennes (man I love this guy!) and Alan Rickman aka VOLDERMORT and Snape.
(He was so bloody calm, look at the face! Alan, it's ok you can stop pretending to be Snape now).
Fans taking what they can from the experience (quite literally).
I overheard people trying to offer money for the signs people had grabbed off the barriers (like the one the woman is holding on the left).
Griffindor Lions. How cute is this?

Even though I didn't get to see the main three (Harry, Hermonie & Ron), I saw more celebrities in one day than I've ever seen in my life including some really random people ranging from football players to characters from glee :/

Did anyone else manage to go? It would be nice to see your photos too, so link me to your blog :)

Dear Photograph.

I stumbled across a tumblr blog called Dear Photograph and it's based on this really cool idea of taking a picture of a picture from the past in the present, re-capturing a moment from your childhood. I'm sure everyone has that one place where they first learnt to ride their bike or had that perfect family holiday, or maybe it was just that one perfect day you'll always remember.
 Enjoy :)
I was even inspired to take my own one (it's the last photo).
Dear Photograph,
Me and my first bike. The bike I have now goes a little bit faster.
@bizaaron
 Dear Photograph.
We had nothing, but you gave me everything. Thank you for your never ending love. I love you Dad.
@okfollowheather
Dear Photograph,
That stop sign gave me a good excuse to stop cutting the lawn.

Dear Photograph,
I wish I treated you better when we were in high school.
@Sarah_Bernstein

Here's my attempt lol.
This photo has been on our fridge for years.
Me, my sisters, my rabbit and dad.
Dear Photograph
I'm planning on retaking you, minus the rabbit :(
