You So Retro

American fashion photographer Steven Meisel goes all retro on us
and he does a bloody good job of it too.
What I would do to look like Viktoriya Sasonkina in these photos. Too beautiful (bitch)
Can all women just start dressing like this again PLEASE?

Pretty Pastel

I know pretty much nothing about fashion, hence why when I came across these 60's inspired photos, I was like WOW but then realised it was like from a year ago. So I'm aware that people into fashion have probably already seen this, but it was too pretty so I'm gonna share it anyway.
So here's Tsumori Chisato FW 2011 Collection:

You talk, I draw.

You know when you're somewhere like uni or on a train, and there's always a group of people near you who talk reallyREALLY loudly and you can't help but hear their conversations? Yeh well, I thought I'd draw snippets of their conversations. They're quotes that literally don't make sense on their own, but it makes you wonder how the hell they got to talking about it in the first place.

Also, because I can hear them but can't necessarily see them, I've just drawn what I think they'd look like according to the sound of their voice and topic of chat.

'Albino' by Gustavo Lacerda

Just thought I'd share with you these beautifully striking photographs by
It's like he's managed to capture his subjects off guard - a mix of playfulness and vulnerability.

Delightful Decoration

So here's a couple of photos of how we transformed our little conservatory into a tea party room for our birthday Cocktails & Cake Party. It took us a bit of time, but it was worth it.
It was a lovely evening spent with my closest friends and for me, a perfect way to spend my 21st :)

DIY: paper bunting

2 Decades and 1 Year. Shit, I'm 21 already.
So me and the twin (and no that's not some cute name I've used to describe my BESTFRIEND4LIFE) decided to throw a small cocktail party with a group of our closest friends.
First things first though - decorations.
We couldn't be bothered to go out and buy some fancy expensive buntings (because really, whats the point? They're pieces of triangle shaped material! Not gold jeeeeeez) so we just made our own out of paper and cut paper doilies in half for the extra va va voooooooom.
Not too bad huh?

P.S i've got some photos of how we transformed our conservatory into an obsessively overloaded pink/pastel tea party room, but I'll save it for the next post :)

Ho Ho Ho

Yeh I realise Christmas was like sooooo last year, but hey what can I say? I always manage to be late with everything in life, so why change now.
So it's time for the Christmas jumper to go back into hiding  (boo hoo) - the poor thing hardly got to see the light of day, but I don't think it's socially acceptable to wear such a festive jumper throughout the year..I mean what will people say?! Outrageous, just OUTRAGEOUS.

PHWOAAAR, what I would give to have this meal over and over again (actually this could be arranged...). Made by my beautiful housemates. We are girls with BIG appetites.
I do like a good hot chocolate, especially through these cold winters brrrrrrrr.

Thanks for reading!
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, oh and Happy New Year!
